今日のブログアクティビティー

11月09日 (金) ブログプロジェクト 今日のアクティビティー

<タスク①> 話しましょう! (20分ぐらい)

1. Work in a group of 4 people and initiate a brief discussion about "what makes a good blog".

Remember, at the end of the semester, your blogs will be evaluated not only by your sensei, but also by yourself, your classmates as well as other Japanese language instructors.

We will use the ideas derived from your discussion today as a basis for deciding the criteria that we will use to evaluate your blogs at the end of the semester.

2. Post the summary of your discussion in the comment column of this blog entry. (Please leave only one comment per one group, but be sure to include everyone's name in your comment.)

<Sample Answer from Last Year's Students>

What makes a good blog? According to our group, we feel that first of all making a good blog in Japanese depends on the correct usage of 漢字. Also, youtube videos and pictures can emphasize points that are made in the blog post. Also, blogs should have a purpose and it helps to organize them, especially by breaking up one giant paragraph into many smaller ones. And most of all, NO GOOGLE TRANSLATION!!! The results just sound weird and don't come out correctly. ^o^ "meow!"

What makes a good blog?

To have a good blog, there should be some understanding of what the person is trying to convey. A good blog should have kanji that we actually went over. It should have pictures or video, as well as a background to look at. English should not outweigh Japanese in a good blog.

To make a good blog we feel that the correct use of grammar and kanji really helps in bringing across an idea. Also the use of pictures further enhances the blog experience as the audience/readers have a visual aid as a reference point. Also including new concepts learned in class help improve the learning portion while making the blog more interesting. Using emoticons to bring across feelings for particular sentences helps as the readers know the writers state of mind during that event. Finally, keeping blog entry ideas fresh and interesting help a lot, as readers may want diversity.

A Good Blog Consists of : By : Camille, Vicky, Emilio and Erica
 Various topics written in mostly Japanese
 Challenge yourself (try to add new vocabulary, sentence structure and kanji)
 Convey your message regardless of simplicity (i.e., pictures, creativity)
 Translate your blog into English to allow discussion about possible grammatical errors or to leave room for suggestions
 Ask questions in your blog
 Make it personal; make sure it expresses who you are
*UPDATE REGULARLY

We came to the conclusion that media within a blog is good, but you can't overdo it. A few pictures here and there is 大丈夫.

Also, the content should be meaty. At least 4-5 sentences per post, and there should be at least a slight progression through the history of the blog.

Proper use of Kanji, vocab, and grammar. However, if the student uses more advanced Kanji, or Kanji that we have no studied, they should post the meaning, as well as the Furigana.

Effort counts big-time, we think. If you try hard to push yourself, and use advanced Japanese properly (not Google translation) you should get points for it.

私達は、
Our group believes that an interesting blog should have variety in the expression of their blog entries, such as videos, audios, and pictures. Videos can help the reader understand what the writer is trying to express. Audio readings can help the readers with the pronunciation of new words and kanjis. Pictures can help elicit emotions.
Interesting topics include hobbies, culture, and background. The blog entry could also try to teach people something.
There should be some variety in the use of language sometimes.
The blog should look appealing and should have some relationship with the blog's general topics/motif.
